ESF FEEDS PASSIONS AND
POWERS SUPERHERO POTENTIAL!

Hi, my name is Stefanie Grossmann and I am the Co-Site Director at ESF Chapin Princeton. 2025 marks my 14th summer with ESF Summer Camps. In 2012, I started at ESF Lawrenceville as a Day Camp counselor, and through the years have held various roles including CPA specialist, Zumba specialist, Day Camp Support Specialist, and most recently, Day Camp director from 2018-2023. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Mathematics from The College of New Jersey in 2014 and have since been teaching in a small PK-8 district in Hunterdon County. I have taught 4th grade and 5th grade and am currently a 3rd-8th grade technology teacher. I am also a team leader, technology leader, student council advisor, theater director, and yearbook advisor in my district. This past winter, I also became a Nurtured Heart Approach® Certified Trainer.

  • What do you love about working at ESF?
Camp is all about fun! We get to create experiences for our campers every day that become some of their favorite summer memories (mine, too!) I have loved watching so many campers “grow up ESF” and I’m privileged to have made many great friends in the staff I work alongside.
  • What is your favorite camp tradition?
Masquerade Day! Wacky Wednesdays are the best excuse to have fun dressing up to different themes, but Masquerade Day is by far my favorite! During my very first ESF summer in 2012, I got to dress up as the Wicked Witch of the West alongside Dorothy and Glinda and our Lollipop Guild/Flying Monkey campers. Since then, I have loved celebrating Halloween in July. It’s always a fun-filled day and I adore seeing everyone’s fun and creative costumes!
  • What is an ESF fun fact about you?
Last year, I had the opportunity to help update our Mini Camp curriculum to support our youngest campers!
  • What is the most unique/interesting job you have had outside of ESF?
In my district, I am the drama club director! We host a spring musical every year and it takes months of planning and rehearsals to prepare my middle school students to act, sing, dance, and run everything backstage for each production! We are presenting “Seussical the Musical Jr” in Spring 2024.
  • What is your favorite quote?
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” –Wayne Dyer
  • What is one of your guilty pleasures?
    Cheesecake!
  • If you could be a superhero, who would it be?
    Wonder Woman

Hi, my name is Michael Falter, and I am the Co-Site Director for ESF at Chapin School Princeton. I have been fortunate enough to work at ESF for the past 26 summers. Over the years I’ve held positions such as a Sports Lab Coach, Sports Lab Director, Aquatics Director, and Assistant Site Director. During the school year I love working with elementary aged students as a 5th grade math and science teacher in the East Windsor Regional School District. In addition to teaching and working at ESF, I have coached volleyball at Pennsbury High School, Princeton Volleyball Club, and Holy Family University over the course of the last 24 years.

  • What do you love about working at ESF?
I love ESF because of the daily adventures, new friendships, and memorable experiences that create lasting memories.
  • What is your favorite camp tradition?
World League! Getting the opportunity to take the SportsLab Campers to other ESF sites and witness the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship displayed by all campers and ESf Team members.
  • What is an ESF fun fact about you?
My first year working at Lawrenceville ESF, our Sports Camp won World Leagues. As a result, we got to travel to Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia and play games for the day on the field.
  • What is the most unique/interesting job you have had outside of ESF?
I have been fortunate enough to work the same jobs for over the last two decades but I would say working at TopGolf has been a fun and unique experience.

“Never say never, because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.”
  • What is one of your guilty pleasures?
French Fries…anyway you want to make them!!
