Since 2013, our camp home has been located on the 27-acre campus of Riverdale Country School in Bronx, NY. The campus features state-of-the-art, indoor and outdoor facilities and provides the perfect setting for our camps. The extensive indoor and outdoor facilities allow us to offer our unique blend of activities, sports, and special events throughout the summer, rain or shine. From the moment you first arrive, you’ll feel the genuine passion, warmth, and friendliness of our staff… and it permeates throughout the campus every day of the summer!

The pristine campus of Riverdale Country School is transformed into the ultimate summer playground! Safe and fun environments, with state-of-the-art facilities create fun-filled camp experiences, and the perfect setting to LEARN and GROW all summer long.
Swimming is one of the most exciting parts of the camp day. Under the guidance and watchful eye of our American Red Cross-certified lifeguards and instructors, campers develop life skills too valuable to measure while learning how to swim confidently in a safe and fun environment.
Over 60+ activities, special events and inspiring time-honored traditions are woven into the fabric of our camp life. From sports, arts, science, engineering and technology to life skills and leadership, ESF makes sure that our programs are innovative and impactful, summer after summer.
The fun and learning continue with ESF’s Club OT extended day program. Campers are divided into groups by age and enjoy specialized activities including sports, games, crafts, book club, drama, and more. Afternoon snacks and refreshments are provided.
Hi, my name is Hassan Turner and I am the Site Director for ESF at Riverdale Country School. Summer 2025 marks my 10th summer working at ESF! I began working for ESF in the summer of 2015 at Riverdale as the Sports Camp Director. My career in education began at Riverdale in 2002 as a substitute teacher in the lower school.
