Hello! My name is Sydney Littmann and I am the Site Director for ESF at Gilman School. Summer 2025 will mark my 9th summer with ESF! I started my tenure as an administrative specialist in the camp office, followed by several summers as the assistant site director. During the school year, I work as a high school world language teacher, teaching Spanish and French for Howard County Public Schools. I also teach competitive color guard with my school’s marching band. I love reading, crafting, playing board games, and hanging out with my dog, Josie.

  • What do you love about working at ESF?
    Getting to work with our amazing staff and watching campers grow throughout their years with us!
  • What is your favorite camp tradition?
    Masquerade day! I love seeing campers in their costumes and the friendly competition between staff to see who can come up with the best costume.
  • What is an ESF fun fact about you?
    In my 8 years with ESF, I’ve never missed a day!
  • What is the most unique/interesting job you have had outside of ESF?
    In high school, I worked concessions at Baltimore Orioles games.
  • What is your favorite quote?
    Well-behaved women rarely make history.” – Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
  • What is one of your guilty pleasures?
    Playing Animal Crossing on my Switch.
  • If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
    The ability to talk to animals.
