ESF Camps Halloween

Autumn Activities for All!

10.13.2017

Your campers are back in school, but they’re still bored on the weekends with nothing to do! Embrace the season with activities your oldest and youngest children can do together.

The weather may be getting colder, but it’s not time to forget about the summer just yet. Try this activity that your campers already learned over the summer at ESF to get in the Halloween spirit. If you don’t have the time to do the preparations yourself, challenge your oldest children to create and host the activities for their friends or siblings.

THE GHOSTLY SCAVENGER HUNT:

ESF Camps Halloween

Answer a variety of Halloween clues to find different ‘ghosts’ and objects around the house.

Supplies:

  • White tissue paper (or printer paper)
  • Black Sharpie marker
  • Clue sheet
  • Options for Hidden Materials:
    • Black cat
    • Orange pumpkin (can use a paper plate to create a pumpkin)
    • Skeleton
    • Full moon (any white ball will do)
    • Witch hat
    • A bat
    • Other options: spider, mummy or haunted house

Preparation:

ESF Camps Halloween

Make six ghosts out of white tissue paper. Use the black marker to draw the ghosts face, and write the clues on each of the ghosts.

Place a ghost at each hiding spot for the scavenger hunt around the house, and hide each of the objects around that clue spot.
