A Special Message from
Our Site Director, Kate Brower!

Hello! I’m Kate Brower, the Site Director for ESF at Sanford for Summer 2025. With an energetic and competitive spirit, I thrive on creating unforgettable experiences for campers. Growing up in New Jersey, I spent my summers in Long Beach Island, soaking up the sun and participating in various sports camps, which ignited my passion for youth programs.

Since moving to Hockessin, Delaware, in October 2019, I’ve embraced a variety of roles at Sanford School, including Summer and Enrichment Director and Middle School Girls Lacrosse Coach. I began my journey here in 2021, serving as a lower school grade representative, afterschool lead teacher, and Assistant Director of Extended Day.

I played Division 1 Lacrosse at Rutgers University, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. I have worked with children of all ages in various capacities, including as a youth lacrosse and basketball coach, as well as a referee for middle and varsity lacrosse levels.

I’m all about fun and creativity, especially when it comes to themed parties—I can’t resist a good theme! Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to a 9-year-old son who’s currently in 3rd grade at Sanford and a spirited French Bulldog named Bodhi. I look forward to an exciting summer filled with adventure, learning, and new friendships!
