Senior Camp Cares at ESF at Gilman

08.15.2017

As many of you know, The Trailblazers have been organizing a service project all summer to help end hunger in their community.  Campers realized how grateful they are for the food they eat everyday and wanted to help those who aren’t as fortunate.  They ran a canned food drive from Week 3 to 8 with the goal of collecting 200 cans.  We’re proud to announce that they not only reached their goal, but surpassed it!  They dropped off their donation to the Maryland Food Bank today and learned that they collected 132 pounds worth of food!

Thank you to the campers and families who participated in the drive.  We couldn’t have done it without you!  And thank you to The Trailblazers for exemplifying virtues like gratitude, community, effort and kindness.  Your hard work is going to change lives!
