Every year, our best and brightest staff members come together to celebrate the achievements from the summer. We gather to honor our elite team for all of their accomplishments, their dedication to our campers and their hard work to make our curriculum and programming come to life every summer.

This year was no different. We awarded our milestone recipients who have worked at ESF for 5, 10, 15, 20, even 25 years! We are blessed to have a passionate team that believes in the ESF mission and stops at nothing to create the ultimate summer experience for our campers. We also created a new 20-year milestone award for Greg Ackerman, Regional Managing Director and Director of Admissions, for his outstanding efforts over the last 25 years!

We also award our Master Teacher and Ichiban recipients at this event. Our Master Teachers are our Camp Specialists that go above and beyond to not only teach our campers, but inspire and encourage them every day at camp. They creatively approach our curriculum and transform their classrooms into an immersive learning environment. Our Master Teachers are passion personified and truly embody our 8 ESF Virtues.

Our Ichiban Award, Ichiban meaning “the best” in Japenese, are stellar staff members that have positive, enthusiastic and high-energy personalities and create lasting bonds with each of their campers and families. They are responsible, dedicated and loyal team members that make the magic of camp possible!
