You probably know ESF primarily for our award-winning summer camp programs for children and young adults, but we are also known for powering a handful of other summer camp experiences. Enter BOLD Summers, our powerhouse initiative that takes the magic of ESF and transforms it into specialized programs like the Penn Medicine Pre-College Summer Program.

The Penn Medicine Program is an educational summer experience designed for rising high school juniors and seniors who are interested in the medical field. Imagine a summer filled with groundbreaking experiences, hands-on learning, and a sneak peek into the world of medicine. That’s exactly what the Penn Medicine Summer Program offers. It’s not just a program; it’s a launchpad for young minds with a passion for science, medicine, and making a difference. The experience is modeled after first-year Penn Med classes in which students gain exposure to the basics of medical training including practical experiences, simulations, and live demonstrations.

So as you gear up for another summer of fun at ESF, keep in mind that there is another special program for our older campers (Rising 11th and 12th graders) interested in the fields of science and medicine. Applications for the Penn Medicine Summer Program are being accepted now through February 27th, so be sure to apply sooner than later if your high school student are interested.
