Advancing The Important Work of YPI

At ESF, we are in the business of growing people. While our focus is on children, we also work hard to positively impact young adults – even though it may not be directly through the ESF brand. ESF has helped launch the Youth Performance Institute (YPI) – an organization set out to empower successful young adults and give them access to influential mentors and leaders.

This month, YPI held an event to gather 12, hand-picked, young adults (some being former ESF Campers) for a weekend of learning, networking, and empowerment. The event featured Dr. Jim Loehr, a world-renowned sports psychologist, and world-famous musician, singer, and songwriter, Seal, who inspired and mentored these Young Individuals.

One of the invitees, Zach Braunfeld, who owns a successful online, video-based math help channel, commented on his experience stating, “I had a great time here! I had no idea what to expect coming in, but I was super surprised by it all. Getting to meet everyone and work with some amazing young individuals was incredibly valuable. It was certainly time well spent and an experience that I will cherish. I’ll definitely take what I have learned and apply it to myself for the future.”

The individuals participated in a stellar lineup of activities and events including time with Dr. Loehr, meditation, wilderness survival, group projects, and nature walks.

ESF Co-Founder, Michael Rouse, added his own thoughts on the weekend saying, “It was truly amazing seeing all the young adults here working together and learning from some of the best in human development. We have something special here that we can grow and turn into something incredibly impactful for the youth of the future.”

ESF is proud to be connected to YPI and to be part of an effort that changes the lives of young adults and makes them the leaders, movers, and shakers of the future.
