Every summer, ESF campers participate in amazing educational opportunities, explore the sports world, make new friends, and have unforgettable experiences, but most importantly, they do it in a safe and positive manner. Our Gilman School location has been doing this for the last 29 years and this summer we were so thrilled that ABC News Baltimore wanted to drop by and do a special segment entitled “One camp in North Baltimore continues to have a positive impact for kids”

Preparation and excitement about this day were palpable. Site director Ryan DeSmit said, “We are so proud to showcase the amazing things we do here every single day. It is so great that the community has taken an interest in highlighting the amazing things we do! We had a great time hosting Jonathan Hunter from WMAR-2 and we are looking forward to connecting with him more in the future.”

On this day everyone was super energetic as our counselors performed amazing shows and our campers got to showcase their daily opening ceremony. Some of the other main subjects featured in this amazing video include all the fun sports that campers get to play, major and tech programming, and ESF traditions. In addition to testimonials from site director Ryan, counselor and teacher Donald Singleton talked about the importance of continued education during the summer and camper Dylan Baker left a final message saying ESF is “a very very amazing camp!”
