Major Camp Zoo-Rah

Animal Advocates had a blast at the Philadelphia Zoo! While there, they checked out different habitats and animals.

Today, they learned about three different animals from the zoo as well! They got to see two walking sticks, who use their color as camouflage to blend into their surroundings, and an odor that scares away predators.

The campers also had the pleasure of meeting a Blue Tongued Skink. This lizard scares off predators by opening his bright pink mouth and showing his blue tongue, because predators are less likely to approach something bright.

This week has been packed with so much fun and new animal knowledge, and we can’t wait for next week!
