Paul Eaton

Music and Creative Performing Arts Camps Specialist

Paul is a graduate of the High School of Creative and Performing Arts and The University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music. Paul currently serves as the Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Girard College ( a 1st-12th grade boarding school in Philadelphia for underserved single parent children ) and Director of the Upper and Lower school bands, choir and bell choirs. He has been working for ESF and their Dream Camp Foundation for well over 15 years and is constantly improving on the program to help empower the next generation of artist to express themselves.


Ben Mulholland

Technology Camps Specialist

Ben is an experienced professional video game tester and the technology lead with ESF Camps where he manages robotics classes, STEM and coding classes. Ben is also a musician who has taught children in Play On Philly! In his free time, Ben enjoys composing music on old computers, spoiling his cats, and drawing.


Alice Johnson

Fashion Design Camp Specialist

Alice is an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University and Drexel University. Possessing thirty years of experience in the fashion industry, Alice’s career includes designing women’s wear and sportswear. Her work has been featured in national catalogues as well as retail chains such as Christopher & Banks and Coldwater Creek.


Jerald Bennett

Music Production Camp Specialist

Jerald earned his BA from Temple University and has served as music teacher for several independent schools in and around the Philadelphia area. He has directed shows including Willy Wonka Jr., The Music Man Jr., Disney’s Camp Rock, & Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. During the summer, he teaches ESF’s Music Production, for which he was awarded the Master Teacher Award twice. Jerald is a singer songwriter who has performed at the Ritz Theater, Prince Music Theater, Freedom Theater, and Media Theater. His passion in life is to educate, entertain, and enhance the lives of everyone he meets.


Michael Brodine

Science Camp Specialist

Michael teaches at The Haverford School Conservatory, Haverford College, Bryn Mawr College and others. Michael has his Bachelors of Arts and Philosophy from Villanova University and did his pre-med studies at University of Pennsylvania. Michael is an inventor himself, holding three patents for original tech designs.


Chris Guda

General Manager and Site Director at ESF Montgomery

Chris grew up in New Canaan, CT and has always been involved in summer camps; attending both traditional and sports camps throughout his childhood and working at day camps since the age of 14. He began working for ESF in the summer of 2004 in Greenwich, CT as the Senior Camp Sports Specialist and went on to serve as the Senior Camp Director and then the Assistant Site Director before making the move to Pennsylvania and joining the ESF Executive Team in September of 2013. He graduated from Miami University (OH) with a Bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Coaching. Outside of summer camps he has worked with children in many different capacities; as a coach for youth soccer and baseball, a soccer referee and a youth mentor. Prior to working for ESF fulltime, he designed and ran youth programming for 3rd-12th graders as the Director of Youth Ministries at the Congregational Church of New Canaan, CT for nine years.


Nicole Rahl

General Manager and Site Director at ESF Lawrenceville

Nicole grew up in Lawrenceville, NJ, and even attended ESF Summer Camps as a camper! She began working for ESF in the summer of 2008 at Lawrenceville as a Day Camp Counselor and went on to serve as the Day Camp Creative & Performing Arts Specialist, Day Camp Support Specialist, and Day Camp Director;; all of this was before making the move to Pennsylvania and taking part in ESF’s Leadership Apprentice program in 2012, becoming Lawrenceville’s Assistant Site Director. In September 2013, Nicole officially joined ESF’s Executive Team. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Studies and Dance.


Emilia Mocarski

General Manager for ESF Greenwich

Emilia grew up in Stamford, CT and has always had a passion for working with youth. Becoming a babysitter at age 12, almost all of her professional experience has revolved around kids, sports, and fun! Emilia first started working for ESF in the summer of 2007 at Greenwich Academy as a Tennis Instructor. Spending the school year completing her business degree at Penn State, she continued to spend her summers at ESF. Upon graduating in 2010, she was invited to join the ESF Executive Team and made the move to Pennsylvania. Since then, she has served as a Tennis Camp Administrative Manager at Greenwich Academy, a Day Camp Director at the Episcopal Academy, and since 2014 the General Manager for ESF Greenwich.


Diane Sessions

General Manager and Site Director for ESF at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy

Diane grew up in Philadelphia and is an alumni of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. She received her BA in Art from Lock Haven University and it is during her time at Lock Haven that she started working for ESF. 2017 was her 15th summer at ESF! It all began in 2003 when she was the Art Specialist as well as the Resident Assistant for international counselors for ESF at Greenwich Academy. From 2004 to 2007 she continued her role as the Art Specialist but this time at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy, where she also received the Master Teacher Award twice. She moved into a Leadership role supporting the Day Camp Directors until she became Day Camp Director from 2009 to 2011. She then moved on to Assistant Site Director for two summers before becoming the current Site Director.


Darren Mathews

Operations Manager and Assistant Site Director at ESF Georgetown Prep

Darren grew up in Baltimore, MD and has wanted to be a teacher since age 3. He has spent every summer since the age of 16 working for various summer camps. In 2011, he started his first summer at ESF Norwood in Chestnut Hill, PA, as a Day Camp Support Specialist. He then became the Day Camp Director for two summers and the Senior Camp Director the following three summers after that. He started working full time for ESF in the Leadership Apprentice Program, which allowed him to become the first Program Manager of the ESF After-School Enrichment Program at The Haverford School in PA. In 2017, Darren became the Operations Manager and Assistant Site Director at ESF Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda. He couldn’t imagine a better way to spend his summer than with all of the amazing campers, families and staff members that he has met at ESF!
