TYPICAL DAY

There's Nothing Typical About It

At ESF camps, we never have a 'typical day' at camp.  Yes, our camps are incredibly well organized, but they're also wonderfully flexible. That means that we may cheer a little bit more during the oracle challenge, continue to talk with our True Life Adventure Specialist for a few more minutes, or even swim a few extra minutes during our swim period.

Every day at camp brings different adventures, but here's an example of what a typical day at ESF Senior Camp might be like...from a camper's perspective!

9:04 am:  Senior Camp is AWESOME!  This week, I was chosen to be an Ambassador.  I get to introduce all of the new campers to my Group and to the cool stuff at ESF!     1:23 pm:  In Quest period, we worked together to solve a team initiative--we even earned 2300 quest points for our Group!
9:25 am:  My Group is the first to jump into the pool this morning!  Today, I asked one of the swim instructors to help me with my Butterfly stroke.  Tomorrow...FREE SWIM! 2:23 pm: In art, we learned about Jackson Pollock and created our own piece of modern art!
10:02 am:  Our Group is heading to TLA to work with a professional recording artist!  He is showing us how to write and produce our own smash hits!  COOL! 2:45 pm:  Archery is AWESOME!  I hit a bulls-eye for the first time and won an ice pop party for my entire Group!
11:25 am:  Each week, we get to work on Service Learning Projects.  Today, we are learning how to be great mentors by reading to mini campers. It was really FUN and I learned a lot! My counselor said I did a great job! 3:07 pm:  All day, I have been rehearsing a dance move that my counselor taught me this morning!  Finally, I think I've "got it!"
12:05 pm:  In Sports today, my Group learned some cool football techniques like how to throw a spiral.  Soon, we will be ready for the NFL Combine! 3:25 pm:  Camp is over.  Tomorrow, I want to stay for Club OT--I am not ready to say goodbye to my friends yet!  In the morning, we are going to show-off the skits that we created It will be a BLAST!
12:39 pm:  Senior Camp LOVES to eat lunch together.  We get to hang out with friends and counselors.  Everyone laughed when I told a joke.
