Typical Day

There's Nothing Typical About It

At ESF, we never have 'typical day' at camp. Yes, our camps are incredibly well organized, but they're also wonderfully flexible. That means that we may dance a little bit more if our favorite song comes on during morning assembly, swim a few extra minutes during our swim period, or put the finishing touches on our master piece in art.

Every day at camp brings different adventures. Check out what a typical day may be like -- from a camper's perspective!

9:02 am:  Morning Assemblies are AWESOME! We sang a cheer that we created and we were so good, we won the SPIRIT STICK!  My Tribe ROCKS!     12:42 pm:  We learned about Monet in Classic Art today.  I painted a picture with a lot of dots...just like him. Afterward, I put the finishing touches on my camp craft!
9:22 am:  We just arrived at World Tour. We travel all around the world without ever leaving camp and even get our very own ESF Passport. We are visiting Australia this week. COOL! 1:31 pm:  I am so excited!  I got the right answer to the trivia question that my counselor asked our Tribe this moring.  WOW!  It was hard.
10:02 am:  We are planting some seedlings in our camp garden during Project Discovery.  We are great "Planet Protectors."  Yesterday we even got to adopt a tree. 1:52 pm:  We just learned a new dance in Creative and Performing Arts. It is the one that we are going to perform in our Camp Show.  I can't wait to show my friends and family my moves.
10:45 am:  SNACK TIME!  ESF gives us great snacks.  My counselor says, "they not only taste great but they are nutritious too." 2:07 pm:  Sports are so much FUN!  Today, we learned how to kick a soccer ball just like the pros!  Bring on the World Cup Challenge!
11:09 am:  SWIMMING is my favorite time of day.  With some great instruction, I just graduated to Bluefish Level! 2:41 pm:  Rock, Paper, Scissors ...WE LOVE IT!  ESF is the BEST!
11:51 am:  I am trying to imitate one of my counselors who is singing and doing a crazy dance. She is so funny! I want to be an ESF Counselor some day – just like her! 2:47 pm:  During afternoon Pow-Wow, I got the "Gratitude Rock" from another camper in my Tribe.  He said it was because I held the door for him today.
12:03 pm:  LUNCHTIME!  I love hanging out in the cafeteria with my counselors and the new friends I have made in my Tribe. 3:07 pm:  I can't believe the day is over.  I can't wait for tomorrow.  It is CRAZY HAT DAY.  I am going to make the wackiest hat ever tonight with my Mom and Dad.
